Anatomy

Leafwings are small humanoid beings, their skin is jet black to allow them to absorb as much light as possible. The leaves on their back can serve as wings, but most of the time when they wear clothes they are tucked away. For now it is unclear weather or not their hair is a normal feature of the species as it doesnt seem to serve any sort of practical purpose and it is purly cosmetic. The wings on their back can mimic the appearance of any plant species.

Health info

When Leafwings are sick or dying, their skin color becomes paler. Its not known if it was intentional by the Lythyans but it sure was a great way to measure the health of a Leafwing.

Settlement name

A very early yet elusive type of creature that used to be very common milions of years ago. These creatures are splices between muiltiple earth marine life and appear to have very unusual abilities, usually only one. Their origins arte unknown but it is belived that they where theearliest ancestors of marinals since their anatomy resembles the animal transformation of marinals. Many of their focills can be found on the home planet of Marinals...

Marinasoils are creatures with advanced inteligence. Those with telepatic communication traits have been evidence that they can understand and comunicate with other sapient organisms. And so they are to be taken very seriously.

Creation

The Leafwings were biologically engineered by the Lythyans to see if they could create complex life born out of plants. The tests were successful and so the Leafwings were created. The Lythyans had close ties with the Leafwings throughout their existence, and eventually they got their own exoplanet to call their home. After the fall of the Lythyan empire, the last remaining Lythyans returned home or hid away into the wild. Some of the enemies of the Lythyans tried to destroy the planet where the Leafwings lived to get a reaction out of the Lythyans since they whee their creations, but eventually they were stopped as the Leafwings where completely innocent ad did not deserve this assault on their world.

Part of the surviving Leafwings decided to venture out and to repurpose the remaining ships of the Lythyans and their attackers to venture out into space to get allies, to rebuild their home world to a habitable state and perhaps even to find out what truly happened to the Lythyans. Some even hope to find a lythyan someday to rule and restore their world because Lythyans know their needs better than anyone else.

The very first Leafwing character was this guy who i had seen in a dream back in february 2018. THe dream and the character's design was kind of influenced by the fact that i was playing a lot of super smach bros brawl.
